How to Take Care of Your New Brows
Share
Avoid Water & Moisture Exposure:
- No direct water contact on brows for 7 days. Avoid letting shower water run over your brows.
- Use a washcloth or cleansing wipes to wash your face, avoiding the brow area.
- Use dry shampoo or visit a salon for a hair wash during the first few days.
- Baths are okay, but no swimming or steam exposure (hot tubs, saunas, or jacuzzis).
Activities to Avoid for 10 Days:
- Sweating, exercising, or intense physical activity.
- Swimming, hot tubs, and saunas.
- Tanning (both sun and salon tanning).
- Laser or chemical treatments and creams with Retin-A or Glycolic Acid.
- Heavy household cleaning with lots of airborne dust or debris.
- Picking or peeling scabs—this can cause scarring and pigment loss.
- Touching brows except when cleaning with a cotton swab or applying aftercare cream.
- Avoid ointments, antibiotic creams, or any products other than the aftercare cream provided at your appointment (these can draw out pigment).
